Katrina Kaif who is gearing up for the release of Bharat, recently talked about how she fell in love with the film’s script. The actress replaced Priyanka Chopra two month before the film’s shoot was about to begin. Kaif confessed she fell in love with the film within hours and called back immediately.
During interaction with DNA, Katrina opened up about her journey on to the sets of Bharat. She said, “Yes, I was not meant to do Bharat initially, Priyanka was. Just two months before the shoot, (director) Ali Abbas Zafar called me and told me there was a change of heroine,”
“What I like about Ali is that he is a straight-forward person. He was clear that I should do the film only if I liked my part. He didn’t want me to base my decision on the basis of our friendship. It took me three hours and 15 minutes to read the script and I was blown away by it. I was sitting with my script coach. And, I told him, ‘Isn’t this really good?’I called Ali and said I loved it,” she added.
Talking about her character Kumud, Katrina said it was a challenge. She stuck to yoga, and stretches to stay fit while went on shoot stayed in the character even after shoot for 20 days.
Kat in the upcoming film Bharat will be seen as a woman in the 70’s struggling in a man’s world to do her best. She will be seen alongside Salman Khan after their last hit, Tiger Zinda Hai. She recently also bagged, Rohit Shetty’s ‘Sooryavanshi’ with Akshay Kumar.
