Imran Khan brings down Desi-Box.com! PDF Print

Shortly after the premiere of Imran Khan's Amplifier music video on the 12th July 2009, Millions of his fans poured into Desi-Box.com with over 10,000 thousand hits per second it basically brought the site down as it overloaded and refused new connections.

At first it was feared to be a ddos hack attempt however after looking at the sources of the hits from users it was realised that these were real fans around the world clicking to watch/listen Amplifier.

Even after adding more servers to cope with the load of trafic some users still could not view the site due to the vast demand shortley after 10pm GMT the servers were stable enougth to manage the demand of users.
