Over the last few days a lot of you may have noticed the site becoming unstable and becoming offline at random points this is due to a ddos attack similar to the ones that brought down twitter recently.

Although a ddos cannot be prevented measures can be taken to lock out users who's activity is similar to a ddos therefore should your browser be set to ask for more packets per second then the system will allow the system will block your requests and disable your access to the site.

DDOS can be prevented.

Would disagree on the DOS and DDOS attack mitigation. Arbor has already brought the worlds 70% of the Service provider Internet intelligence under visibility and its ability to mitigate DDOS attack is successfully used by Worlds leading Service Provider.
