Review of AG Dolla "Mr Shah" - by Rizwan Shaikh

01. Border Control
The first track of the eagerly anticipated album is Border Control. The track is one of the best on that demonstrate AG’s versatility and ability to portray is views in a cheeky and comical way. The track is highly controversial as it takes an asian point of view on stereotypical views of people.

02. Row Ur Boat
The next track is the anthem Row Ur Boat on this track AG combines his conscious rhymes with cheeky with, which creates a unique and cutting edge sound. The believe the the track is to tell people to enjoy life and keep doing what they are doing and not to worry about things. This track is a easy on the ear and is something for the dance floor.

03. Mamacita feat Sai Priya
The next track is the addictive track Mamacita and it features the vocals of Sai Priya who is famous for collaborating with Bally Jagpal, Dr Zeus, Simon Nandhtra and loads of others. AG has gone with latin feel to the track and by choosing Sai Priya to feature on the track he has made the best choice as her voice go perfect with the track. The track is another upbeat track about meeting a girl in the clubs and everything that happens after. Rnb Lovers will love this track!

04. Under Your Spell
The next track Under Your Spell it is another good track which uses a sample which goes well with the track (the name of the track is also derived from the sample). The main idea behind the track is AG expressing his love of a girl, as usual with his own twist which works brilliantly! The music very chilled out and easy to listen to, the track will appeal more to certain people than others.

05. 3 Wishes feat Sarah Lellan
The next track is 3 Wishes and features frequent collaborator Sarah McLellan but most importantly it is a dedication to people who have lost their lives by guns and knives. AG usual his wit to base the song around the ‘3 wishes concept’ which is basic but understandable. The song displays the thoughts of people and shows what happens daily all over the country. This song is one the gets to the heart and personally made me sit back and just think about all the people that have lost their lives and the sadness it brings upon people. This track is a real winner.

06. Do You Feel The Same feat Ash King
The next track Do You Feel The Same which features vocalist Ash King who fits very well. The track is another one that shows his love for a girl who may not necessarily feel the same way. The vocals and instrumental go together well and this is another good track.

07. Loveless feat Sef
The next track is the BANGER which is Loveless from D-Boys album PLAYBACK Vol.1. I believe the track is a remix which goes well with all the vocals, it also features the legendry Sef of Music Kidz which will enable it to be noticed by Rnb fans who may not have heard much from AG before.

08. Club Crazy

The first thing i can say about this track is unexpected and amazing! It is produced by Mentor who has worked with AG previously on Arranged Marriage. This will be a club banger in the next few months and expect to hear it at parties etc that’s all am going to say for this track.

09. AG Dollas Here
AG Dollas Here
a track produced by Middleman. This track has Hollywood influences which work well, it basically tells the listener than AG is a leading figure in the industry and gives a insight into ags past times etc. I feel that this track isn’t one of stand out tracks on the album.

10. I Wana Tell You feat Sai Priya

This track has an infectious beat and vocals from Sai Priya. The main topic of the song is about how AG showing how feels about a certain girl. It is quite similar with other love related tracks on the album.

11. Pack It Up feat Sai Priya
This is a interesting track as it gives an insight into the life of AG Dolla. It gives fans a personal insight into what AG gets up to and how certain people feel about what his music career. This tracks is another must listen.

12. Picture Frame feat Ruptured
This track is another love related track featuring ruptured whos vocals go well with the track. The track is a little different as it more about how he is missing a certain girl as he isn’t with her, AG talks about how life is without her etc. The track is good but sounds similar in terms of content from other tracks.

13. Independent feat V Dubl E & Sai Priya
The last track on the album is Independent features V Dubl E & Sai Priya. This track is important as the lyrics show how better the life of an artist is when they are independent. Obviously this is AG’s view but makes the listener understand the differences with independent and major labels. I believe this track will appeal to up and coming artists and isn’t something that will be continually played and enjoyed by general music lovers.

CONCLUSION:
The album started off with Border Control which started it off with a bang, with the controversial lyrics and the rumours of a video should make this track a worthwhile listen. Stand out tracks for me are Club Crazy and Independent. There are alot of love related tracks on the album, which some people may feel sound similar.
