Ji-MADZ (Jitty Madahar) was born and raised in the heart of UK Bhangra culture – Handsworth, Birmingham. His passion for music was evident from a young age – as was his Individuality. Whilst many young Asians with musical flair opt for the traditional, percussion-based instrument, Ji-MADZ’ attention was drawn to the bass guitar. A very close friend (Prem Nayer) encouraged and assisted him further. With Prem Nayer’s guidance and his own determination, Ji-MADZ began to flourish as a musician and fast built up a reputation as a respected member of the live circuit.
When he was selected as bass player for the then newly-formed XLNC, Ji-MADZ got his first taste of success. After the phenomenal success of the highly acclaimed album ‘R U Ready’, XLNC became an overnight success, performing at exclusive venues throughout the UK, as well as touring in Canada, America and Europe on a continual basis. XLNC were the first Bhangra band to perform live in Tokyo, Japan.
The first video for album is a Ek Peg, the album will be released on Scan Records in the UK. For more info on the album see the news section.
