The first song from Rohit Shetty’s ‘DILWALE’ is finally out titled Gerua. The romantic number Gerua is dreamy and beautiful. Shahukh Khan is seen romancing Kajol in the 4.47 minute long video. 50 years-old Shahrukh Khan looks superb, while Kajol looks gorgeous in saris, blowing in the wind. It reminds fans of the song Sooraj Hua Maddham from the movie Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham. Only, ice replaces the sand in the scenes. But watching Gerua is going to make you feel a lot romantic with an overdose of special effects and exotic locations in Iceland. Gerua is rumoured to be the highest-budget song ever!
If you are wondering what does ‘Gerua’ means, Shahrukh explained in a tweet: “Gerua means Ochre or Orange to keep it simple…even a bit saffrony. So colour me in the color of love.”
The song is penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya, music composed by Pritam and sung by Arijit Singh and Antara Mitra. The movie directed by Rohit Shetty Dilwale also features Kriti Sanon and Varun Dhawan. The movie is scheduled to release worldwide on 18 December 2015.
A day before the release of the song Gerua, Shah Rukh Khan said, “Every song has a different reason in the film. They have a celebration song, and then there’s a dream sequence song which is larger than life with the cast. ‘Rang De Tu Mohe Gerua’ is a romantic track with Kajol and me in it.”
