PBNs energetic dance-floor anthem Kaun Nee Jaandah has been announced as the highest selling Bhangra single of 2010 by The Official Charts Company.
Featuring the voice of Daljit Mattu and The Dhol Foundation, the track topped the charts back in April and was the first Bhangra track to take the number one spot in the charts and in the UK iTunes World chart. There was no hiding from this song in 2010, it was entertaining crowds everywhere – the charts, in clubs, at weddings, at melas and across the airwaves.
As the first single to be released from PBN‘s fifth album Crowd Pleaser, Kaun Nee Jaandah definitely set the stage for the singles that followed it. Overall songs from Crowd Pleaser made up 10 percent of the top 40 selling singles of 2010 in the end of year chart. Official releases Gereh Kad Dee featuring H-Dhami, Kaun Nachdi and Lak Hildaa featuring Heera all stormed the chart on release and held top ten positions as well as tracks such as Boli featuring Miss Pooja. The hugely successful year for the hit maker also saw him nominated at the UK Asian Music Awards and the Brit Asia Music Awards and leading British Asian newspaper Eastern Eye named PBN – Music Producer of the year in their end of year review.
Having definitely pleased crowds with his music in 2010, PBN plans on making 2011 even bigger! With international tours in America, Canada and Australia and some exciting collaborations with A-list artists, PBN fans are in for more musical treats from the hit maker.
