The Bilz & Kashif Kick Off Summer with New Single “Heer Ranjha” hits radio waves and clubs July 4th.
Montreal, Canada—Hitmakers The Bilz & Kashif are about to heat up the summer with their new track “Heer Ranjha.” Set to release July 4, the dancehall-inspired track features Master-D’s Punjabi vocals with Kashif on the hook; within a week of being posted on YouTube, the snippet reached #11 on YouTube Canada’s most viewed list, to which the group is no stranger.
"Heer Ranjha" is addictively smooth and catchy – once you hear it, all you want to do is move. “We wanted to create a track that would get the dance floors bumpin’,” DJ Vicious says. “The story follows the girl Master-D is seeing who, while at a party, spots Kashif and approaches him, trying to lure him back to her place. Little does she know that he’s Master-D’s best friend.”
Bringing relatable situations to their music is a successful formula for the trio, whose recent promo release, “He’s Nothing But a Loser,” has already hit nearly 100,000 downloads, as well as placement on every major international urban blog. The track marries a popular Soulja Boy song, “Kiss Me Thru the Phone,” with the lyrics and smooth voice of Kashif.
The Bilz & Kashif have been busy since their debut release, The Bilz Album, in 2006. They’ve recently signed to have their catalog available with Jamster, and will make their Hollywood music debut with a track in Catherine
Zeta-Jones’ The Rebound. Fresh off a Germany tour and a performance at DutchVersity’s The King Movement in Amsterdam, The Bilz & Kashif are gearing up to release their new album, Breaking Barriers, later this summer. The
14-track electro-pop album will showcase the trio’s talents—Kashif singing in English, Master D in Hindi and Punjabi—and have cameos from artists including platinum-selling Houston rapper Lil Flip. Look for The Bilz & Kashif to hit the road this summer, with dates in Vancouver, Nashville, Boston, San Francisco, Connecticut, Toronto and Chicago.
